Welcome ! This website is intended to be platform to keep folks up to date with the activities of my research group at the University of Sheffield.
We research how plants shape and record Earth history. We use a variety to tools to achieve this including experiments on living plants, models of the Earth’s atmosphere, climate and vegetation and we also actually get our hands dirty analysing fossils.
Just published at the end of February is The Emerald Planet, my first attempt at popular science writing published by Oxford Unviersity Press. See breaking news page on the right for reviews.
